The 2025 IPC Scientific Award will recognise the work of one academic researcher for their contribution to research in the field of sports for persons with a disability. This award will not only acknowledge and reward the work of researchers in this field but will also serve to promote and encourage further study and enhance the quality of work in this area.
The IPC Scientific Award will be presented during the 2025 VISTA Conference taking place in Egypt From the 7 December until the 10 December 2025.
The Award winner will also deliver a keynote address at the VISTA Conference.
To be eligible for this award, candidates must have contributed through significant scientific publications related to the scientific study of sport for persons with a disability in any discipline, have received national and/or international recognition for their work, and place an emphasis on the practical application of research with direct or indirect benefit to the IPC Movement. The IPC is calling for nominations for this award. Please complete this online nomination form in English, and send a brief resume of the nominee, to medical@paralympic.org by no later than the 30 September 2025 12:00 GMT.
Nominations may be submitted by IPC Members, members of the IPC Governing Board, Athletes’ Council as well nominations from outside the IPC membership including the wider academic/scientific/technical community. Current members of the Governing Board, Committees and Athlete’s council cannot be nominated during the period of their mandate.
